Five Years Later, Rio Teramoto Is Back in Gravure

The gravure idol and actress Rio Teramoto is stepping back into the spotlight after a five-year hiatus from gravure work.

During that period, she has concentrated on her acting career, including an almost-nude scene in the Netflix drama Sanctuary, where she portrayed a hostess.

Remarkably, despite her long career, Teramoto is just 24 and hasn’t released a photo book in six years.

Her second photo book, scheduled for release on April 1, was shot in Perth, Australia. “It’s been five years since my last gravure shoot,” she shared on Instagram with fans. “I’m so grateful to everyone who waited for me.”

The newly released preview images glow with the warmth of the Australian sun, highlighting Rio Teramoto’s striking figure in a wet bikini. She also looks stunning, posing nude beneath a pair of casual dungarees.

This year marks ten years since the Hiroshima-born idol made her debut as a junior model. Fans still recall the excitement surrounding her first photo book, Curiosity (2020), which showcased her impressive G-cup figure.

Her upcoming second photo book, whose title has yet to be revealed, is once again published by Kodansha.

While her debut collection was shot in Los Angeles and performed very well, its promotion was somewhat hampered by the pandemic. Now, without such limitations, Rio Teramoto is set to appear across magazine covers and participate in numerous events to support her follow-up release in April.
